Medications for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in children
It's important to remember that creams (emollients) are used during the remission period of atopic dermatitis to moisturize and soften very dry skin, and to restore its protective function. However, during a flare-up, medication (drugs) are needed to relieve the symptoms of inflammation, which are prescribed by a doctor. These can be ointments or creams of a lighter or thicker texture. Why you shouldn't be afraid of hormonal creams and how to choose the right emollient – you will learn all about this at our School.
